Just recently, a never before seen manuscript of Leonardo da Vinci, that had been lost for centuries, has finally been recovered. Consisting of 64 pages, these anatomical drawings of a Hemavore had apparently been separated from other da Vinci drawings that were stored in the Royal Library at Windsor until the 19th century.
In 1778 the Royal Library housed 779 drawings by da Vinci. In the 19th century only 600 were accounted for. It is believed that the drawings in this re-discovered manuscript are those missing from the Royal Library at Windsor. How they disappeared, and why, is still a mystery.
However, the manuscript was recently (and just as mysteriously) recovered by a pair of 15 year old residents of Chelsea Village, Washington on the trail of a murderer.
Contained in the following 2 web pages are excerpts from that manuscript, containing drawings of an actual dissected Hemavore (corpse?). These unprecedented drawings detail the special "appendages" and organs found only in a Hemavore.
Side note: The term Hemavore was supposedly coined by da Vinci after being on the receiving end of a Hemavore's insatiable thirst for blood. It's said that he found his first Hemavore body in the fields near his home, obviously killed by religious zealots for its strong resemblance of a demon or devil.

| Figure 1 illustrates the "talon" extended from the wrist of the Hemavore and tucked safely between the radius and the ulna. The "talon" can hide below the skin and is "ejected" through a slit in the flesh when needed. Razor sharp along one edge, it appears to be a natural defence. It also appears to contain a "venom" which is excreted from the tip (the venom's purpose is not known at this time). | Figure 2 illustrates the bone structures of the Hemavore's wings, which also hide themselves beneath the skin and tuck neatly between the shoulder blades. Hollow bones, similarly found in birds, allow the wings to be light weight, yet flexible. A leathery skin makes up the wing -- the wing being the same skin-tone as the Hemavore. Blood apparently is used to expand the wings by filling the tissue like a sponge, which may partially explain the Hemavore's need to feed on blood. | |

| Figure 3 illustrates a special organ concealed just below the back of the neck. This organ appears to be the "source" of the Hemavore's extended life span and ability to regenerate tissues and bones. It also produces the venom which is supplied to both the "talons" and "fangs". Without a steady diet of animal or human blood, the "source" is observed to shrivel and die -- killing the Hemavore in a most painful and slow death. Destroy the "source" and you kill the Hemavore. | Figure 4 illustrates the circulatory system leading to the "talons", and the correllation between the "source", wings, "talons" and "fangs". | |
