As I continue to write scripts, we occasionally have script readings to help me work out problems with characters, plots, dialogue and other story issues.
For future Script Readings, please check out the Special Events page to see if anything is planned. We can always use actors who wish to donate their time, and an audience who's willing to give us that valuable feedback.
Our most recent reading was for my feature screenplay:
The reading took place on July 20, 1996 (C.E.) at a little coffee house in Burbank, California called Java Goddess. Unfortunately, the coffee house has since closed-down, but we still thank Nancy Gray (owner and operator) of Java Goddess for allowing our Hemavores to invade her space.
This was a tremendously enlightening experience and guided me to a revision of the script which is far better now than could've been expected.
The participants and audience alike, had some great suggestions which allowed me to hone in on problems that I knew existed, but I just couldn't put my finger on them. With everyone's help, the script has become a great horror/fantasy/thriller! Thanks to you all!
